Sarah loves running, yoga, cooking, reading, and spending time in nature. She also likes visiting different states, and hopes to see all 50. She went to college in Arizona (go Sun Devils!) and spent a year in NYC. She works as a technical writer at a software company creating user manuals.
Jesse has many passions, including education, technology, and culture to name a few. He is a user experience designer, web designer, and photographer by trade. You can also find him hiking in the mountains, kayaking a river, or gearing up for travel into parts unknown.
Our story
In 2001, we were both 5th graders at our hometown elementary school. Even though we didn't have the same teacher, we had the same friends and saw each other at recess. By the time junior high rolled up, we went to different schools, lived in different states, and lost touch.
Fast forward 16 years to the summer of 2019 at PVD Food Truck Events. Sarah was a volunteer for the beer tent checking IDs and Jesse was in line with friends. He handed his ID to Sarah, and we recognized each other instantly! What started out as catching up turned into real dates. Dates turned into a relationship. And it led to love.
